(29/04/08) Well, that's it for another season,
both teams have finished and managed to survive in their respective
divisions. The only thing left to look forward to now is the big
Presentation night bash on the 17th May, this should be a cracking night
and hopefully everyone who attends will be able to let their hair down
and enjoy themselves. Just a quick thank you to everyone at the club,
without the combined effort of all involved the club wouldn't be able to
run as it does so pats on the back all around and hopefully we can
continue this into next season, enjoy your summer break everyone.
(11/08/07) So the
new season is almost upon us, training has started and one pre-season
friendly has already been played. The new managers of both teams are
keen for everyone to get down to training so they can start planning
their teams for the big kick off on 8th September, if you haven't been
yet make the effort now. All of the pre-season games are on the
Fixtures & Results page
now, please let the managers know your availability asap.
Moving on to a different
note, toward the end of last season a key supporter of the club passed
away. Anyone who attended the club golf days over the last few years
would have met Colin Jupp, or 'Councillor Col' as he was affectionately
known, he was actually our Treasurer, Lee Hamilton's, father-in-law.
Colin passed away after a short illness and will be greatly missed by
all of his family and everyone at the club who knew him. To recognise
the support he gave the club over the years a trophy has been named
after him and will be played for in the upcoming golf day on 14th
September. Further details of the day can be got from Nick but there is
a summary on the Dates & Events
page.
Speaking of Dates &
Events, please note the 17th May 2008 in your diaries, this is the date
for the clubs 15th Anniversary Presentation Dinner & Dance. This is a
big event for the club and you won't want to miss it, again details are
on the Dates & Events page. |
